In
December 2003 we were invited to do a vigil, with another major ghost
investigation group, in Duxford Imperial War Museum. The group went to
Cambridge, early Saturday morning, and took a tour around the air museum
to try to get a feel for the buildings and the surrounding area. John
was trying to see if he could pick up on any spirits that might of been
about the buildings. After the tour we went to a friends house to prepare
for the vigil ahead.
(GET PLENTY OF SLEEP).
The Vigil started at around 9:30PM in the control tower, where we were concentrating
the vigil on.

Their
were 4 members of staff with us this night to watch over us as we did the vigil,
but we got them involved in what was going on. The night started with complete
silence, we had two members on the bottom floor of the control tower and the other
members on the first floor. We had our camcorders recording anything that might
and did happen.
Things were going a little slow, so we gathered all our members to the first floor
to try to gather all our energy in one place. We placed a motion detector on the
stair's leading to the first floor. All was going well for an hour or so, we were
getting many orbs on our camcorders, using Night Shot, Then at about 2:00am one
of our members thought they heard something coming from behind the door leading
from the stair case. As the member opened the door something set the motion detector
off, and our member saw an apparition, stood right in front of her nose! This
was also witnessed by another member. The member who opened the door... well lets
say panicked and slammed the door on whatever was standing there. Our member
starting saying "Those f***ing security guards have just scared the S**T
out of me" (Sorry about the language but it show's how scared she really
was) thinking that the person who she was confronted with was a security guard
playing around, as we were getting bother from them that night.
We investigated, after calming down our member (mentioning no names), what it
was. We radioed through to the security desk and they swore blind they had not
left their station for an hour or so, and also the downstairs door was locked
from the inside.
After our member had calmed down she started to remember things about what had
just happed, as she accepted that she had panicked at the time. She remembers
standing their face to face with this apparition, which she thinks was wearing
a kind of flight suit. The vigil carried on through the night, John started to
pick things up about going's on of the control tower and people who had passed
through there during the war, and who never came back.
We finished the vigil at around 5am after a very active night and hope to
go back their again soon.
